MacGrath Foundation 'Pink' Pack (Cage Free)

The MacGrath Foundation’s Cage Free eggs are supplied by the following egg producers:

• Farm Pride – NSW, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia
• Aberfeldy – Tasmania
• Golden Eggs – Western Australia

MacGrath Foundation’s cage free eggs are produced from indoor barn production systems.  All producers share the same standards, which are certified under AECL’s standards for cage free egg production.

The standards for these cage free eggs only allow hens to roam within barns, not the outdoors, and also include the following standards,

• Farms are independently audited. 
• The use of antibiotics and growth hormones is not specified.
• Stocking density indoors must not exceed 12 birds per square metre.
• Beak trimming and wing clipping are permitted.
